Beads aren't just for decoration, they attach to your flashlight with a little bit of paracord and make it easier to pull out of your pocket or find in the bottom of a bag. We thought it would be fun to have a bead designed to go along with the DC1, DC2, and DC0, so that's what we did. They have a recess to hide the paracord knot if you like, but they aren't completely hollow so they still have a some weight to them. If you prefer to have the paracord knot visible that's not a problem, just flip the bead around.
